The Otago Central Rail Trail, located in New Zealand's South Island, is a 152km long off-road cycling and walking trail that traverses the dramatic landscapes of the Central Otago and Dunedin regions between Clyde and Middlemarch. It was the first trail in the Ngā Haerenga Great Rides of New Zealand network, which now includes a total of 23 rides.
The trail follows the historic route of a former railway line, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and rich heritage. Cyclists and hikers can explore diverse landscapes, including rugged gorges, rolling hills, and serene river valleys.
