WHEEL LIFE: A cycling spectacular on New Zealand's latest Great Ride
A fantastic account from Rob McFarland of Explore Magazine on his glorious five-day romp through some of the country's most spectacular landscapes!
Rob's multi-day bike ride through Central Otago's "three gorges" included the Clutha Gold Trail, the Roxburgh Gorge Trail (known as NZ's version of the Grand Canyon) and the latest addition to the Great Rides, the dramatic Lake Dunstan Trail.

The Clutha Gold Trail includes scenic riverside riding and lush woodlands. (Credit Geoff Marks).

The engineering along the Lake Dunstan trail is almost as spectacular as the ride itself.
